National Badi Network (NBN)Formation

National Badi Network (NBN) is formed as an umbrella organization as a common national platform of Badi community by the initiation of COMMIT Nepal in the coordination of the different Badi community people and organizations from representative of 10 districts. Preliminarily Assembly meeting has formed 19 members of the Executive committee among the Badi leaders. NBN will be extended to the province, district and local levels. The Network will mobilize the Badi community for their empowerment, rights, social justice, dignity and transformation through advocacy /Lobby to achieve the development objectives according to Badi Community’s 10 years strategy plan 2020-2030.

National Badi Youth Network (NBYN)  formation

National Badi Youth Network (NBYN) is formed by COMMIT Nepal in the coordination of the different Badi community-based organizations from representatives of 12 districts. It has formed 19 executive committee members of the Youth Network. The Networks will be extended in provinces and local levels where Badi community’s density is high. It is the first and historical network for empowerment, transformation, rights, justice and dignity of the Badi youth. National Badi Youth Network will make advocacy and lobby with the local, province and federal government about the Badi issues and increase the access of the Badi people on land, housing ownership and access to Governmental public services. National Badi Youth Network will mobilize to achieve the thematic areas and development objectives according to Badi Community’s 10 years strategy plan of 2020 to 2030. The Networks will work as a wing of the Badi community in Nepal.

“1^st National Badi Youth Conference” (NBYC)

      “1^st National Badi Youth Conference” was successfully organized by COMMIT Nepal Banke,  with the coordination of National Badi Network (NBN) and National Badi Youth Network (NBYN) on 7, 8 & 9 March 2021 at Nepalgunj, Banke, where Badi Youths from different province &districts participated at the conference. Its main motto was “The Badi Youth Campaign on Quality Education, Social Justice, Dignity, and Empowerment & Transformation”. Youth have learned many more about social justice, dignity entrepreneurship, education through the motivational training. Similarly, 17 members, Badi Youth Network Committee was elected. It was the first historical and peaceful rally organized by the Network for the Rights of Badi youths.

The Network submitted the demand letter to the Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal through the District Administrative Office, Banke with its 15th points demand letter and requested the government to fulfill the demand of the marginalized Badi Community.
